President Joe Biden has now authorized Ukraine to utilize American-supplied long range missiles to strike inside of Russia, which has been a red line for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Biden’s policy change marks a significant escalation leading up to President-elect Donald Trump’s term.
Putin has also previously warned the U.S. and its Western allies that if any nations were to send and authorize the use of long-range missiles against Russia, it would be viewed as an escalatory act, leading the Kremlin to commence war with the country or countries responsible.
Additionally, Putin and his officials warned in August that World War III would not just be limited to Europe, and he asserted that the West was playing with fire by even considering enabling Ukraine to launch Western weapons far into Russia, speaking on the long-range missiles.
Meanwhile, the authorization is believed to be in response to the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia, as the Biden administration reportedly attempts to send a message to Pyongyang.
With Biden’s policy change, the Ukrainians are now authorized to utilize the Army Tactical Missile Systems, also known as “ATACMS,” which Ukraine has been prohibited from the Ukrainian army for the previous two years since the war broke out.
“We are not talking about allowing or not allowing the Ukrainian regime to strike Russia with these weapons,” Putin stated. “We are talking about deciding whether NATO countries are directly involved in the military conflict or not.”
“This will mean that NATO countries, the U.S. and European countries are at war with Russia,” Putin reiterated. “And if this is so, then, bearing in mind the change in the very essence of this conflict, we will make appropriate decisions based on the threats that will be created for us.”
Biden’s insistence on toying with a direct, escalating conflict after being warned numerous times by Russia’s leader that it would result in a much more severe conflict has reportedly divided his advisors, as NATO members await Russia’s response.
Following the announcement, Putin’s assessment was repeated by the Speaker of Russia’s State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, who wrote, “NATO became a participant in military operations in Ukraine.”
“They are waging war on our country,” Volodin continued.
Soon after, Donald Trump Jr. posted a response statement on social media platforms, condemning the Biden administration and the military industrial complex.
“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives. Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!” he wrote in an X post on Sunday.
