The rapper appeared in court on Wednesday to propose a $50 million bail package to avoid the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, but he was denied by the judge.

According to People, the rap mogul has been placed on suicide watch as a “preventative measure.” Diddy’s lawyers argued on Wednesday that he was not a danger or flight risk, but the judge was not convinced.

Combs has been in federal custody in New York City since Monday night and guards at the Metropolitan Detention Center are closely monitoring him in case he does attempt to harm himself, according to multiple sources.

The prosecution shared alleged text messages from Diddy to his ex, Cassie Ventura, after the attack on her in 2016 to argue he should remain behind bars until his trial.

Diddy allegedly said: “Call me, the cops are here. I got six kids. You, please call. I’m surrounded. You gonna abandon me all alone.”

Meanwhile, his defense lawyers are considering additional court actions to help free his client before his trial.

Currently, the rap mogul faces a three-count felony indictment, accusing him of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution in acts that date all the way back to 2008.
