Widely-rumored “corrupt” Democrat Mayor Tiffany Henyard recently threw a party that cost a whopping $85,000, with a handful of colleagues and residents of the Illinois village accusing her of utilizing taxpayer funds to pay for it.

Henyard is the mayor of Dolton, Illinois, where she has been cut off by the Illinois State Comptroller for refusing to provide financial records to the state.

The Dolton mayor decided it was an appropriate use of the funds to spend $30,000 on a thirty minute performance by R&B artist Keke Wyatt, as well as a $20,000 bill for a thirty minute performance from rapper J. Holiday.

“I was flabbergasted. I was pissed off. That’s my money. That’s the people’s money,” local resident Jennifer Robertz asserted.

The recent event that Henyard planned was called “The Taste of Thornton Township,” and along with the performance costs, she decided to spend an additional $36,000 on a sound system, staffing, equipment, comedians, and even bounce houses.

Video footage taken by Mayor Henyard also shows a lackluster turnout, despite the sky-high costs.

“That was a flop,” said former Dolton trustee Valeria Stubbs. “It might have been approximately 65 to 70 people there. She likes to use our tax dollars to promote herself. She does all these events trying to buy the voters.”

Excessive and corrupt methods of spending is not out of the ordinary for Henyard, as she has been previously caught misusing taxpayer money to fund her own personal extravagant lifestyle, paying for first class flights, a professional hair and makeup stylist team, as well as an intensive security detail.

On another occasion, Henyard spent $40,000 on products and items sold on Amazon in just a single day.

Henyard’s reckless spending has also caught the eye of federal investigators as they are still currently looking into the Dolton Mayor for overspending.

“Henyard, her political committee, her cancer charity, her boyfriend, two of her relatives, four trustees who are allies, her deputy police chief and even her defunct burger business are all named in the [FBI] subpoenas,” according to local network WGN-TV.

In April 2022, a year after Henyard took office, Dolton had a $5.6 million budget surplus. However, a probe from former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, uncovered last month, found that the town had a $3.6 million deficit under Henyard’s tenure.

“This is all for the babies,” Henyard confidently expressed in a video from the event. “They don’t show you this side of Tiffany Henyard: The productivity.”

Thornton Township trustees have seemingly had enough of Henyard’s inappropriate spending, as they refused to sign off on multiple planned events, citing her reckless spending as the culprit.

“We can’t continue to spend money without that in place,” stated trustee Chris Gonzales in reference to the necessity for the town to operate within the approved budget. “And even beyond that, I mean we had a couple of events here in the past month or so that just an extraordinary amount of money was spent unnecessarily.”

Following these budget cuts, Henyard clapped back at the board stating, “You guys want to just halt things here at Thornton Township, because I don’t see y’all doing nothing.”

“But yet, y’all have started saying no to everything that myself and our team is coming up with – and I see no ideas from any of you,” Henyard added.
