Country music star Morgan Wallen was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee after allegedly throwing a chair off a rooftop bar on Sunday night “for no legitimate purpose,” police said.

The 30-year-old was booked early on Monday morning on three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said.
“At 10:53 p.m. Sunday evening Morgan Wallen was arrested in downtown Nashville for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is cooperating fully with authorities,” Wallen’s attorney Worrick Robinson told Fox News Digital.
According to the arrest affidavit, two police officers were standing in front of Chief’s Bar in the city’s entertainment district on Lower Broadway when they saw a chair fall from above and hit the street just three feet away from them.
Additionally, in the affidavit, police wrote the bar’s staff members told officers that Wallen threw the chair, and when officers reviewed the video footage it showed him “lunging and throwing an object off the roof.”
The singer was booked for the arrest at 12:36 am, then was released at 3:29 am, with his bond being listed at $15,250.
The country music star’s mugshot was shared by the Metro Nashville Department on X, where the singer can be seen giving a smile.
Police also stated that “Country artist Morgan Wallen, 30, was booked early today on 3 cts of felony reckless endangerment and 1 ct of misdemeanor disorderly conduct for throwing a chair from the rooftop of Chief’s Bar Sun night. The chair landed on Broadway, close to 2 MNPD officers. His bond: $15,250.”
Court documents stated that Wallen’s court appearance is scheduled for the morning of May 3rd. Later that same day, he has a scheduled concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
