A disappointed, pouting Nancy Pelosi waited to greet the now-defeated Vice President Kamala Harris at Howard University in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday afternoon, prior to Harris’s concession speech.

The former Democrat House Speaker was photographed while looking emotionally distraught in relation to Harris’s defeat, which saw President-elect Donald Trump win the popular vote by a landslide, which a Republican hasn’t accomplished since 2004.
Pelosi recently tried criticizing Trump’s “cognitive degeneration” during a recent MSNBC appearance, which marks a continuation of shots between Trump and the former house speaker.
“[Voters] have to know that he can’t last as president for four years with his brain deteriorating at the rate that it is… and they may be voting for President Vance, which would be a horrible thing for our country,” Pelosi stated.
Although Pelosi called Trump’s cognitive ability going forward into question, she previously championed President Biden’s obvious cognitive decline, prior to the disastrous July debate performance in which it became even more evident.
“I’ve worked with the president for a long time, especially closely as Speaker when he was president, and now since then, and he knows … I mean, he’s always on the ball,” she previously stated of President Biden. “Anyone who would think that they’re at some advantage because of his age thinks that at their peril, because he’s very sharp.”
Pelosi then went on to contradict her previous claims, revealing that she “took a punch for the children,” by leading the charge to push Biden out, despite touting Biden’s “sharpness” prior.
Trump’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, took the gloves off in a recent response to Pelosi’s assertion regarding Trump’s age, stating: “The only thing deteriorating is Nancy Pelosi, who is a decrepit, washed up, corrupt politician who America can no longer stand.”
“She should go back to the City of San Francisco, which she has totally destroyed, and never return,” Leavitt added.
Additionally, Pelosi took to social media to sing the praises of the presidential campaign that Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D-Minn.) ran.
“Millions of Americans are proud of the leadership and campaign of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. We are inspired by them, thank them and know that they will continue to be magnificent forces for good in our country,” Pelosi wrote in an X post.
“We all pray for America’s success under the next Administration. The peaceful transfer of power is the cornerstone of our democracy. After every election, we all have a responsibility to come together and find common ground,” she added.
