Kamala Harris was caught red handed in an embarrassing Election Day gaffe after flipping her cell phone around to the cameras while “on the phone with a voter,” to reveal she was seemingly not on a call at all.

“Have you voted already?” an enthusiastic Harris said on the phone. She paused as though listening, before exclaiming: “You did, thank you!”

The Vice President then turned her phone screen around to her supporters at the Democratic party’s Washington D.C. headquarters, who applauded and cheered.

”Kamala just pretended to talk to a voter on the phone but mistakenly showed that her phone was open to the camera app,” one person wrote on X. “LMAO Everything about Kamala is FAKE and STAGED.”

“Kamala Harris is so phony… that she got busted making a fake phone call to a “supporter” today. Her campaign is a disaster,” another person wrote on X.

Other people on social media described the publicity stunt as “brutal” and “embarrassing,” but some people cast doubt on whether Harris could actually have been on the phone after all.

“No. Kamala Harris didn’t “fake a phone call” just because you see a camera app,” one person commented on X.

“Try it, make a call, open camera, hold it to your cheek and remove it. You will see the screen activate/disactivate to prevent your cheek from dialing (like hers).”

“iPhones only do this while you’re on a call.”

Harris will be watching the election results from her alma mater Howard University, in a Harris campaign watch party.

Meanwhile, her opponent Donald Trump will be watching the results from his Mar-a-Lago estate at a GOP watch party.
