Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has announced that he will be awarding $1 million every day to random registered swing state voters who sign his conservative petition from now until the election.

The funds will be pulled from Musk’s recently launched America PAC, a pro-Trump political action committee which has now begun to play an integral role in the Trump campaign.
The lottery style winnings will be given to a random signee, set up to incentivize potential voters to get out and vote, along with the opportunity to potentially win a million dollars.
The petition voters must sign up to be eligible to win pledges to support Conservative values, like gun rights and free speech. Musk’s America PAC was launched in July. It has been laser focused on motivating swing state voters in an attempt to turn the tide in Trump’s favor.
“America PAC was created to support these key values: Secure Borders, Safe Cities, Sensible spending, Fair Justice System, Free Speech, Right to Self-Protection,” the website read.
When speaking on the goal for the PAC, Musk stated that he’s aiming for “over a million, maybe two million, voters in the battleground states to sign the petition in support of the First and Second Amendment.”
“I think [it] sends a crucial message to our elected politicians,” Musk added.
Although it is illegal in the U.S. to pay for votes, Musk was reportedly able to legally incentivize voting because the payment is not directly being paid to voters, but rather to those who simply sign the petition.
Musk’s workaround has caught the attention of Pennsylvania Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro (D-Penn.), who recently criticized Musk’s payments as “deeply concerning,” and as “something that law enforcement could take a look at.”
“Musk obviously has a right to be able to express his views. He’s made it very, very clear that he supports Donald Trump. I don’t. Obviously we have a difference of opinion,” Shapiro stated. “I don’t deny him that, but when you start flowing this kind of money into politics, I think it raises serious questions.”
During a Saturday town hall event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Musk gave a random attendee who signed the petition $1 million. Musk stated that he “had no idea” he was going to be chosen.
Musk also spoke on the marketing behind the petition and how the mainstream media is playing right into his hand.
“One of the challenges we’re having is, how do we get people to know about this petition? Because the legacy media won’t report on it.” Musk questioned during the event.
“So I figure, how do we get people to know about it? Well this news, I think is gonna really fly,” Musk added, regarding the million dollar figure.
Musk has currently donated $75 million to the PAC, providing the Trump campaign with a much needed influx of political structural support.
