Recent reports have revealed that Doug Emhoff, Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband, allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend in 2012 after she flirted with a valet worker at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The second gentleman reportedly struck his then-girlfriend in the face so hard she spun around. The report, emerging from the Daily Mail, decided not to give the victim’s real name, opting to call her ‘Jane’ instead, although it did state that she was a successful New York attorney.
Three friends of Jane reportedly came forward, choosing to remain unnamed out of fear of retaliation from Emhoff.
One of the friends, a New York businessman, alleged that Jane called him after the assault as she cried in her cab, describing the violent assault.
The friends that came forward also provided a copy of the flight itinerary from Jane and Emhoff, further corroborating their report.
“It was hard to hear her because she was sobbing. She told me she was with a guy and he hit her,” the businessman stated.
“It was very clear what she was telling me. She said she was with a guy, her date, she was at the Cannes Film Festival, and he hit her. She was in the car with the guy at the time,” he continued.
“It was something like 3am. They were trying to get out of there and they both had been drinking. There was a gigantic line for taxis. [Jane] went up to one of the valet guys, offered him 100 Euros or whatever, to get to the head of the line. She told me she put her hand on his shoulder. Doug apparently thought that she was flirting, and came over and slapped her in the face,” he added.
A second friend of Jane, a female attorney, also confirmed the alleged attack happened as the victim had also communicated to the friend about Emhoff’s attack.
“She said there’d been no fight before he hit her. You would have thought it was this fairytale trip. She put her hand on the valet’s shoulder, and as she was talking to him, Doug comes up,” she stated.
“She said he turned her around by her right shoulder, and she was completely caught off guard. He hauled up and slapped her so hard she spun around. She said she was in utter shock,” the attorney stated. “I think she asked him ‘what the f*** was that all about?’ in the car, and the only thing she could really get out of him was that he thought she was hitting on the valet.”
Lastly, a third friend, described as a top female executive, detailed Jane’s relationship with Emhoff, after Jane later disclosed the abuse she allegedly suffered at the hands of Emhoff.
“I don’t know if it was an aggressive slap or a punch, but it was something that I know she would never forget, and something that would end a relationship immediately,” she stated, after the victim told her the full story in 2018.
“When he hit her she hit him back, like, ‘Don’t you ever do that again,” she continued. “I asked her if he ever apologized. She said no, but he commented about the hit she gave him. It was a tennis metaphor. But no apology at all.”
The relationship between Jane and Emhoff began after they connected on “Match.com,” the friends stated.
Just after a few months, the relationship got serious as Emhoff introduced Jane to his kids and parents.
The new allegations surfaced following another shocking allegation, which alleged that Emhoff got his children’s nanny pregnant, stemming from his first marriage. Following the allegations, Emhoff admitted that he did cheat on his first wife.
Najen Naylor, the nanny who worked at a private school Emhoff’s children attended, reportedly decided to get an abortion, sources told the Daily Mail.
Emhoff was dating Jane during the time of the divorce of his first wife, which he revealed after she questioned him.
“She felt for some reason his wife had the upper hand, and she couldn’t understand why that was,” the executive stated. “He told her that he had gotten the kid’s teacher pregnant, and that had been the cause for the divorce.”
Additionally, Emhoff allegedly paid Naylor around $80,000 to abort the baby. He also required her to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
“He did it rather matter-of-factly, not apologizing or saying he screwed up, but just like it was any other conversation,” she continued.
After the relationship ended, Emhoff quickly moved on, starting a new relationship with now Vice President Kamala Harris in 2013.
Jane reportedly did not consider coming forward with her story until she saw Harris become the next Democrat nominee. Since she clenched her party’s nomination, Emhoff, her now husband, is being portrayed in the media as an nice innocent guy.
“He’s holding himself out to be something he absolutely is not. And that’s bulls–t,” the executive added. “I feel like people should know who their leaders really are.”
