Former President Donald Trump stated early Wednesday that he has been briefed by intelligence officials on Iran’s efforts to assassinate him and he believes that Tehran “will try again.”

“Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting,” Trump, 78, wrote on Truth Social — just hours after Ryan Wesley Routh was charged with attempting to assassinate the former president on his golf course earlier this month.

“Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone,” he continued.

“I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before. Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service – Zero ‘NO’ Votes, strictly bipartisan.”

“Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!”

The announcement by the Trump campaign comes after the 45th president has had two assassination attempts against his life just in 2024.

On July 13th, he had a bullet graze his ear from a bullet fired by Thomas Matthew Crooks at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks, 20, was immediately shot and killed by the Secret Service.

Additionally, on September 15th, a Secret Service agent spotted Ryan Wesley Routh in the hedges near Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course while he was playing golf.

Routh, who fled the scene, was apprehended a few hours later and faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Meanwhile, Iran has previously denied U.S. claims of interfering in American affairs.
