Joanne Barbara, the wife of a FDNY chief killed during the 9/11 terror attacks, criticized President Joe Biden during her speech after he carelessly described his plans for the day as, “I’m doing 9/11.”

Barbara spoke on Tuesday, during the 23rd anniversary of the New York ceremony where her husband, Gerard A. Barbara, and nearly 3,000 others, tragically passed away.

“The elected officials here today show their respect and reverence to the families on Sept. 11, or – in our president’s words – ‘do 9/11’ quite a flippant remark,” Barbara stated.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were present for the ceremony, alongside former President Donald Trump and his Vice Presidential candidate, Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio).

“Please remember that the 9/11 families live it every day,” Barbara continued.

Prior to the ceremonial event, Biden responded to questions regarding his plans for the debate with Harris and Trump.

“I’m going up to my granddaughter’s birthday in New York. Then we’re gonna watch the debate, then tomorrow I’m doing 9/11,” Biden callously stated.

Barbara also had harsh criticism of the attempted plea deal for three men accused of organizing the attacks, which was proposed by the Biden administration. The agreement has since been revoked, after survivors, Republican lawmakers, and family members of victims slammed the “outrageous” deal.

The plea deal would have allowed those accused of avoiding the death penalty for their egregious crimes.

“It’s outrageous that our government could ever entertain the thought of granting the terrorists a plea deal. If not for the outcry of the 9/11 community, who knows what might have transpired. It has been 23 years, and the families deserve justice and accountability,” Barbara added.
