On Tuesday, a 15-year-old was hospitalized and is in critical condition after a gunman shot him in the stomach at Northwest High School in Omaha, Nebraska.

Police stated that the suspect fled the scene, however, he was later taken into custody. The Omaha Police Department announced the arrest and said there was no longer a “threat to the community.”

Even though the suspect has not been publicly identified, police have stated that the gunman is “young.”
