The Washington Commanders have suspended their vice president of content, Rael Enteen, after he was caught making damning comments about the team’s players, the NFL, and its fans on a discretely recorded video.

Enteen, unbeknownst to him, was being filmed while on a date with an undercover journalist. After drinks, he spoke candidly about his personal thoughts on the NFL and its players.

The now-suspended Commanders staffer was caught on video calling the team’s Black players “homophobic,” due to their “community” and socio-economic status prior to becoming an NFL player. He also labeled NFL fans as a whole as “high school educated alcoholics.”

“A big chunk [of the Commanders roster] is very low-income African-Americans that comes from a community that is inherently very homophobic,” Enteen stated. “I love hip-hop, hip-hop is very homophobic.”

Enteen continued in the video, saying that he believes half of the roster is “White religious” and are homophobic due to their beliefs.

Additionally, Enteen maintains that a lot of NFL players are now “dumb as hell” after taking too many hits to the head.

“I think there’s also a real sad but true reality that some start smart and they get hit in the head so much that they don’t stay smart,” he added.

Enteen then shifted his aim towards the fans of the NFL, calling them both “violent” and “high school educated alcoholics.”

He also stated that as the team’s media manager, he is essentially “state-run media.”

“We had like, pipes leaking sewage on our fans in the middle of a game. And I have to put out a social post saying like, ‘it wasn’t sewage water. We promise.’ That is state-run media,” Enteen said.

As the planned “date” went on, Enteen tore into the league’s social justice initiatives, calling the leagues interest in the efforts “performative.”

“It’s not done out of the goodness of their heart and morality,” Enteen stated after he was asked about the initiatives. “The social justice efforts are a performance for the sake of public perception, and not because they [want] to actually push progress.”

Enteen continued, stating that he believes the Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, “really runs the NFL,” and that Jones openly “hates gay people and Black people.”

The interview finishes as Enteen is asked about his thoughts on the commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell.

“What about Roger [Goodell]?” the undercover journalist asks.

“Oh, yeah, he’s a puppet,” Enteen responds. “A $50 million puppet.”

Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders team responded to the surfacing viral video by issuing a statement.

“The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization,” a Commanders spokesperson stated. “We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will reserve further comment at this time.”
