On Wednesday night, a group of House Republicans that were assembled by Brandon Williams (R-N.Y.), raised up American flags outside of Union Station in Washington, D.C., hours after furious protesters tore them down and burned them, hoisting up Palestinian flags to show their disapproval of Israel and Netanyahu.

The protests took place during and after Netanyahu’s address to Congressional members. The Israeli Prime Minister’s speech even prompted multiple arrests and led to U.S. flags being burned amongst the chaos of the unruly rioters.

Protesters critical of the war in Gaza, as well as the U.S.’s support of its ally, Israel, were seen burning an effigy of the prime minister along with the hoisting of Palestinian flags.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) recounts the events on X (Twitter).

Williams and Crenshaw were accompanied by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Rudy Yakym (R-Ind.), Derrick Van Orden (R-Wis.), and others during the evening.

GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson similarly weighed in on the incident on X.
