FBI: No Motive Established For Trump Assassination Attempt

Five days after the assassination attempt on 45th President Donald J. Trump, investigators still haven’t established a motive.

In a congressional briefing on Wednesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray told lawmakers that the bureau has conducted more than 200 interviews and has reviewed over 14,000 images.  

The FBI told lawmakers that they have not found anything that would indicate that the gunman had “strong political views.”

His phone records show that he searched for dates of Trump appearances and the Democratic National Convention.

Additionally, officials also told lawmakers the gunman also searched online about major depression disorder.
