The defense sought to use Michael Cohen’s words against him on Tuesday, focusing on his insulting social media posts and television appearances about Donald Trump. When taking a closer look at Cohen’s TikTok, all of his videos are rants and nasty words about Trump and the hush money trial.

Trump’s lawyers want to know why Trump has a gag order and Cohen does not, especially since Trump’s former attorney is now making a living off of his nonstop insults.

Attorneys for 45th President Trump grilled Cohen in court on Tuesday, confronting Trump’s former attorney about his incessant social media posts about Trump on TikTok. They stated that some of his posts include schoolyard taunts where Cohen called Trump a “dictator douchebag,” insulted Trump’s lawyers, and even making money off of Trump’s trials. Cohen even went as far as to sell t-shirts of a cartoon image of Trump in an orange jumpsuit behind bars.

Legal analysts say all of this ruins Cohen’s credibility.

Trump’s legal team suggested that Cohen is motivated by money, revenge and notoriety, rather than justice. They asked him about the millions of dollars he earned from his two tell-all memoirs and the millions of subscribers to his anti-Trump podcast.

Lawyers, and Trump himself, do not understand why Judge Juan Merchan issued a gag order over one post by the 45th president, yet hasn’t issued one for Cohen who has repeatedly badmouthed Trump and others involved in the hush money.

President Trump continues to maintain his dignity when asked about the trial.

“I am not allowed to talk about big portions of my case and nothing like that’s ever happened. They’re allowed to talk, the other side, but I’m not,” he said.

While Cohen testified on Tuesday, a mid-level appeals court yet again denied Trump’s latest effort to throw out a partial gag order, continuing to prevent him from posting or speaking about those involved in the case.

Trump has asserted that this violates his right to free speech.

On Friday, Judge Juan Merchan denied giving Cohen a gag order.
