On Wednesday, an Israeli drone strike struck a car outside the southern Lebanese city of Tyre killing Hamas member Hadi Mustafa. Hamas’s Al Aqsa television said Mustafa was a leader of the group’s armed wing.

The Israeli military confirmed the death of Mustafa, calling him a “significant” Hamas operative, claiming he was responsible for attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets around the globe.

According to multiple reports, Mustafa was killed in an airstrike while traveling in a vehicle. Sources also said the drone hovered in the air for several minutes after the attack was carried out.

Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, who is affiliated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, confirmed that two people were killed in the airstrike in Tyre and stated the man driving the car was the main target.

Meanwhile, since the October 7th attack against Israel by Hamas, Hezbollah has continuously launched rockets against Israel to show support of Hamas. Since then Israel has retaliated by carrying out rocket strikes in Lebanon, confined mostly to the border region.
