Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley suffers a crushing blow to her campaign hopes of becoming the GOP nomination.

On Tuesday night Haley (R-S.C.) lost the Republican first-in-the-West Nevada primary to the “none of these candidates” option, which is a tough pill to swallow as she continues to trail former President Donald Trump by a large margin.

After 86% of the ballots tallied, “none of these candidates” had 63% of the vote, Haley received 31%, and former Vice President Mike Pence (R-Ind.), who dropped out of the race garnered 4% of the vote.

With the results, Haley became the first presidential candidate to lose a race to “none of these candidates” since the option became a requirement in 1975 under Nevada law for primary elections for president and statewide offices.

Despite what most experts consider an embarrassing loss Haley’s campaign dismissed the harsh results.

“Even Donald Trump knows that when you play penny slots the house wins,” spokeswoman Olivia Perez-Cubas said. “We didn’t bother to play a game rigged for Trump. We’re full steam ahead in South Carolina and beyond.”

However, Trump’s team pounced on the opportunity to go after Haley after the results were announced.

“A bad night for Nikki Haley. Losing by almost 30 points in Nevada to ‘None of These Candidates.’ Watch, she’ll soon claim Victory!” Trump posted on Truth Social early Wednesday morning, referring to Haley’s triumphant concession speech after she lost last month’s New Hampshire primary.

Meanwhile, Haley claims she is focused on her home state of South Carolina’s primary on February 24th.  However, the 45th president is dominating Haley in the polls, leading her by 27 points to win the primary in the Palmetto State.

Most experts believe if Trump wins easily in South Carolina it will all but wrap up the GOP nomination and knock Haley out of the race.
