Joe Biden is reportedly seeking Taylor Swift’s endorsement for the 2024 presidential race to boost poll ratings.

On Monday, the Times reported that receiving an endorsement from Swift, who has previously endorsed the Biden campaign in the 2020 election, would be the endorsement of their “wildest dreams.”
According to the Times, candidates applying for a social media position with the campaign were instructed not to divulge their “Taylor Swift strategy” because the campaign has already received a lot of advice on how to win her over.
One of the ideas reported was to have the president make a stop at one of Swift’s “Eras Tour” shows.
The pop star had previously endorsed Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in a social media post in 2020.
According to the non-partisan charity Vote.org, after Swift posted calling for her fans to register to vote last September, more than 35,000 individuals signed up.
Governor Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) has previously talked about the effect that Swift has on young voters.
“I think Taylor Swift stands tall and unique,” he told reporters in September. “What she was able to accomplish just getting young people activated, to consider that they have a voice and should have a choice in the next election, is profoundly powerful.”
Biden’s re-election campaign has struggled to reach young voters.
A poll conducted by Suffolk University on January 1st found that Trump leads Biden by 37% to 33% among voters under 35.
It also revealed that fewer voters ages 18 to 29 intend to vote in the upcoming election than in the 2020 election, which saw record youth turnout.
