Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been accused of hiding a “personal and romantic relationship” with one of the top prosecutors she brought in to work on her case against former President Donald Trump.

In a case filed on Monday by Michael Roman, one of Trump’s former campaign staff members, he accused Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade of having a relationship beyond work in a bombshell allegation.

The filing stated that the two “have been engaged in an improper, clandestine personal relationship during the pendency of this case.”

Roman claimed that both parties “personally benefitted” from the relationship, as Wade was paid $654,000 for his role in assisting her office to prosecute Trump.

Additionally, the motion added that the money he was making was used to pay for lavish vacations he took with Willis.

“Information obtained outside of court filings indicates that the district attorney and special prosecutor have traveled personally together to such places as Napa Valley, Florida and the Caribbean and the special prosecutor has purchased tickets for both of them to travel on both the Norwegian and Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Traveling together to such places as Washington, D.C. or New York City might make sense for work purposes in light of other pending litigation, but what work purpose could only be served by travel to this traditional vacation destinations?” the filing questioned.

The submission further mentioned that there was “no substantiating evidence” indicating that Willis had the authorization for the substantial salary allocated to compensate Wade for his efforts on the case.

A spokesperson for Willis, Pallavi Bailey, stated that the DA’s office will respond to the allegations “through appropriate court filings.”

Roman is one of 18 co-defendants being charged by Willis. She claims that Trump and 18 others took part in a vast conspiracy to allegedly “forcibly attempt to maintain the presidential office” after Democrat Joe Biden was named as the winner.

Trump is facing 13 charges in Georgia. Willis charged the 45th president with violating the Georgia RICO Act, solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, conspiring to impersonate a public officer, conspiring to commit forgery in the first degree and conspiring to file false documents.

He has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
