Elon Musk is urging his social media community to vote Republican during the midterm elections.

On Monday, the billionaire took to Twitter where he suggested that Independent voters should support Republicans in the upcoming election in order to prevent either political party from becoming too powerful.

The new Twitter CEO specifically pointed out that the presidency is Democrat controlled. Having all three branches of government would create a monopolizing political opinion in the United States.

Musk aims to make Twitter a social networking platform where diversity of political thought is encouraged. He has implied that the growing polarization of politics in the United States has prevented people from constructing logical solutions to complex issues.
