Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has donated over half-a-million dollars to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s re-election campaign.

According to reports on Tuesday, Jones was one of three prominent business executives who made substantial donations to Abbott’s (R-Texas) campaign in the final pre-election fundraising window.

This is reportedly the largest political contribution Jones has ever made to a statewide candidate.

Abbott reportedly raised nearly $9 million in the last pre-election fundraising window.

Recent polls indicate that the Republican is on track to defeat Democrat challenger Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) in November.
