New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D – N.Y.) has demanded help from the federal government. Her request comes as illegal migrants are flooding to the Empire State.

Hochul recently told reporters the Biden administration needs to take ownership over the migrant crisis.

She says her pleas to the White House have fallen on deaf ears. However, Hochul has failed to address that her own open border policies are a part of the problem.

“This belongs in the Federal Government and that’s where the mayor and I are one hundred percent in sync to make sure that we have the resources to make sure this does not devolve into a real humanitarian crisis,” Hochul said.

Her comments come as New York City shelters are at capacity. Officials are opening a new migrants emergency center at a Manhattan hotel.
