Trubee Hill, Inc., founded in 2020 by Adam and Ian Siegel during the pandemic, has opened its first brick and mortar location in downtown Glen Cove. Born from their love of home, entertainment and community, the Siegels began this luxury brand with their now signature Blue Hydrangea candle, named after the famous flowers in their front yard.
“With the COVID shut down in 2020, it was obviously a very different year,” Ian says. “We thought this would be a wonderful way to divert our free time from being out and socializing and entertaining to working on something and building our own business.”
Over the last two years, Trubee Hill’s product offering has expanded to include more than 60 candles with matching room sprays, greeting cards, pottery, artisan gifts, apparel, and other home goods, all of which will be available in their Village Square store.
“Everyone had to hit a reset button, and not by choice; we were very fortunate to have this down time and do something positive,” Adam says.
Many of the scents pay homage to Long Island and the candles are hand-poured locally on-site. The Shoppe by Trubee Hill creates a one-stop shop for all high-end gift and home-good necessities.
“We are thrilled to have opened our doors to the Glen Cove community and introduce our first ever brick-and-mortar store,” says Adam. “As longtime Glen Cove residents, we have witnessed the evolution of downtown Glen Cove and we know there is no better place for us to be.”
Ian adds, “We are fortunate to have so much community support behind us. Our unique scents and products celebrate Glen Cove and Long Island’s culture, and we are excited to use this space to further engage with the community.”
The Shoppe by Trubee Hill opened this summer in the new Village Square in the heart of downtown Glen Cove.
After spending the last two and half years building their brand by doing local farmers market along the North Shore, the Siegels’ brand has grown to include room sprays, reed diffusers, goat milk soaps, spice rubs, olive oils, balsamic dressings and more. Many retailers on Long Island carry portions of their popular line. The entire selection of their products is available on website and in their full service gift and home store. There you can find many wonderful high end gifts and items for the home with a local twist.
